The Dot

by Peter Reynolds

Vashti begins with a single dot on her paper, which ignites creativity in herself and those around her. Reynolds crafts Vashti’s character to identify with anyone that has been discouraged or dissuaded from their creative potential, instead affirming everyone contains a uniquely creative potential.  The Dot is a reminder that there is a space and a need for each person to create.
