By: Ashley Spires

This girl decides that she is going to make the most magnificent thing. But making something magnificent isn’t always easy. Join the girl and her sidekick dog as she works through set-backs, overcomes frustrations and problem solves to create the most magnificent thing!

Follow Up Questions: Have you ever felt like the girl? Have you ever tried to create something? How did you do it? How did you feel about the process of creating it?

The main character is relatable to all children and the plot of the book can be used as a starting point for conversations about how children grow, learn, and cultivate a perception of their own abilities. This book can also help children to develop a growth mindset which is the belief that intelligence is not fixed but can be developed.
