Counting with 10’s in the garden

One Watermelon Seed

By: Celia Lottridge

Join Max and Josephine in the garden and count from one to ten as they plant seeds so their garden can grow! Spot different types of animals in the garden and see how the seasons change the garden. Then, once the seeds have grown, count in groups of ten to discover how some crops add to 100.

Follow Up Questions: How many groups of ten does it take to make 100? Can you count a group of ten with the things around you?

Covers Topics: counting one through ten, counting the number of objects in categories, counting and cardinality, number names, counting sequence
